Concrete Batch Plant Operator

Overview & Skills Needed:

Universal Concrete, LLC is willing to train the right person
This position requires a basic understanding of computers and the ability to learn our concrete batch system
Solid customer service skills and ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced work environment
Ability to clearly explain directions to locations to concrete truck drivers for delivery
Ability to handle customer calls for scheduling, day of delivery changes, coordination, rescheduling, and at the last minute to maintain delivery
Flexibility to work a varying schedule with overtime as required on a daily basis
Early mornings, late evenings, and night shifts and Saturdays are required as needed.
Strong math and critical thinking skills are important, ability to stay calm under pressure and handle customers' and contractors' needs calmly

Pre-employment Drug Testing and Physical required.

General Laborer (Two Openings Available)

Overview & Skills Needed:

This job requires working outside the majority of the day.
This is an entry-level position that we will train the right candidate with the right attitude and is looking for a career not just a job.
This position offers the ability to move up within the company based on the individual's performance.
This job requires maintaining the concrete plant and all areas of the property under the supervision of the Plant Supervisor.
This job supports the dispatch and quality control department as well as loading bins of materials for batching concrete
Keeping all Concrete admixture tanks full
Unloading cement tankers into cement silos.
Ability to learn and operate our equipment
The daily checking of material levels throughout the day
The ability to work outside safely and follow all safety and wear required PPE
The ability to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs
Not afraid of heights and ability to climb man ladders and climb the plant to maintain it.
Ability to work with others and independently.
Flexibility to work a varying schedule with overtime as required on a daily basis
